Fred has been working in finance and investment for over 35 years and assists Wallis Payne in the areas of asset allocation and fund manager selection in addition to chairing our investment committee.

Following the completion of his honours degree in accounting science through the University of South Africa, Fred commenced his career working as a Chartered Accountant at a range of large and well-respected corporations.

In 2005, Fred qualified as a Chartered Financial Analyst which is regarded as the international gold standard qualification in the field of investment management. This led to him holding senior positions with various investment management companies and family offices, and ultimately establishing Waterways Capital in 2012.
